Data and alerts
We are preparing three things for readers who use this site in their own work. None of them is ready yet. Tell us which you would use, and we will write to you when it is.
The tracker as a CSV file: one row per provincial region, with its status, its dates and the documents behind it. Every claim keeps its official source, the link, and the original Chinese sentence, word for word. Updated as provinces publish.
The tracker's table has 31 provincial regions and cites 82 official documents, counted from its data as of .
In preparation
An email when a provincial government or regulator publishes a new document on Document 136. Software reads the official websites on a schedule and flags new documents. The editor reads each one and checks the claim against its original sentence before anything is sent.
Each alert gives the claim in English, the original sentence and the official link.

Send us a Chinese energy or climate policy document, or a question about one. We write a short English briefing in which every claim is footnoted to its original sentence and the official link, the same way this site is.
The editor writes these by hand, so we take only a few at a time.
